The Helm Diagnostic. $500.
One complete points strategy for one specific trip. A written Diagnostic Report with three contingency paths, a PDF Booking Summary with the exact booking steps, and a 14-day Q&A window. Delivered within seven business days once your intake clears the two-day eligibility review. If the Diagnostic identifies less than $1,500 of measurable value, the fee comes back to you. Built for families planning real trips and small business owners sitting on years of card points.
What you get.
A written PDF Diagnostic.
1
A PDF Booking Summary.
Full points portfolio audit, one specific trip recommendation with three contingency paths, and a Value Capture Summary quantifying the dollars identified.
The execution half of the deliverable: where to book, which points to move, and the order to do it in. Your first booking step is spelled out, and the whole plan takes about thirty minutes to run.
2
A 14-day Q&A window.
3
Two weeks of follow-up questions by email after delivery, plus an optional 30-minute Q&A call. If award space shifts before you book, your three contingency paths are already in the report.
Common questions.
-
No. I write you a plan. You execute it yourself. The plan includes the exact website, partner program, transfer routing, and three contingency paths if award space changes between report delivery and your booking date. Most clients execute the plan in about thirty minutes.
-
No. I never log in to your card accounts, your hotel loyalty accounts, your airline accounts, or any other account. You’ll upload screenshots of your points balances during intake. I work from those screenshots and from publicly available award charts and search tools.
-
A traditional travel agent earns commission from hotels. Their incentive is to book the highest cash rate. I’m fee-based, and my recommendations are quantified in the Value Capture Methodology. Any form of supplier compensation that applies to a recommendation is disclosed line-by-line in your Diagnostic.
-
point.me books one flight for you at $200. I write you a complete strategy across your entire points portfolio for a specific trip, including three contingency paths and card-stack optimization. They’re a booking service. Helm is a strategy consultancy. Different products, different price points.
-
Every Helm Diagnostic includes three contingency paths exactly for this reason. If all three contingency paths’ value drops below $1,500 by the time you go to book, that triggers a Diagnostic update at no charge, not a refund.
-
You can. That’s how I learned. Thirteen years of reading the blogs and booking my own trips taught me things they don’t write about, mostly because a blog can’t know what you want out of a hotel or how you like to travel. If you have thirty or forty hours and want to learn the craft, keep the fee and do it yourself. The clients who pay me do it because the plan tends to find thousands of dollars they would have left sitting in their accounts.
-
You shouldn’t hire me if your balances are small, and the eligibility review will catch that before any work starts and send the fee back. You also shouldn’t hire me if you’d rather learn this yourself. Some clients take the plan apart after their trip and run the next one on their own, which I think is a fine outcome.
Ready to find out what your points are actually worth?
At least $1,500 of value identified, or your $500 back. Delivered within seven business days of a complete intake. Before any work begins, Helm reviews your portfolio for capacity to identify at least $1,500 of measurable value. If your portfolio doesn’t support that threshold, Helm refunds the fee and declines the engagement upfront. If your portfolio does support it and the delivered Value Capture Summary falls below $1,500 anyway, Helm refunds the full fee within ten business days. Per the Terms of Service.
